Rex, it looks like the "Discussions" work a little like a thread. I started a new one over in the Bear's Den on this topic. It looks like you click on the title of the discussion to open it. The main issue I have is that the first post is always shown rather than the latest post. I think it would be easier if the order were reversed with the latest post being displayed first. I'll have to look at it to see if there is a display order option.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I like that we can have separate threads within each group. I do wish there were a way to get to the most recent posts we haven't read, similar to how we can do that here on the regular board's threads.

Ted, I was looking around in one of the groups I started and next to the discussion tools drop down menu is another box that has no text but is a drop down menu as well. There was a setting for "inverting the selection" (it is also on the page that lists the group's discussions as well). I haven't clicked it yet since I'm not sure what it does or if that would be preferable to what's already there (I'd personally prefer a "go to new posts" feature like we have on the board). I just looked in a group I did not create (only a member) and I don't have those options.

However, if it sounds like this feature does do the "latest first" and most of the members in my groups would like it, I would be more than happy to change it if it will help them.

I found a "go to last post" button on the far left of discussion links.

I'm curious, though. What happens if a custodian becomes inactive? Can a social group be reassigned to another member?

    Regards,
    Rex.
