Glasgow NE by-election. It's pretty big because it was Michael Martin (former speaker)'s seat.

Thanks Paul, I had quite forgotten about the former Mr Speaker! 
He was apparently quite a good piper!

Gorbals Mick's a piper alright! He apparently prefers carpentry now-a-days though. Perhaps it's a Commons thing; or perhaps it's an age thing!
I know someoe who met him after he stood down as he said "It has been an honour to serve the people of Springburn" when someone shouted out "aye... on the annual visit to your own constituency"
