    Thanks, all, for the input.

Rocky, I have looked at the muted / ancient choices in this tartan and I actually like them all. But I've really settled on the weathered colors, knowing full well I'll pay a price for my stubborn nature (won't be the first time).

FYI - the Strathmore tartan (the first one that Rocky shows) is 13 oz. The House of Edgar tartan (the 2nd one) is 16 oz.

Actually, the House of Edgar one I was referring to is 13 oz. They offer the Stewart Old in ANCIENT in 16 oz. They MAY OFFER it in 16, but not to my knowledge.... Barb may know something I don't (and probably not just 1 thing I don't know )

Thanks for that information, would you happen to have a photo of the kilt? I'd love to see it.

Thanks for those pictures, David. It's a great looking kilt. I love the Old Sett in the ancient colors as well, but the weathered suits my needs at the moment. Although, I could see having a kilt in the ancient one day! (when does it stop? )

It does appear to me that the sett in the pictures of the ancient colors is smaller than the sett in the weather colors in Barb's post (#10). Is that the case?
