    The web site recommends the jacket and five button vest for "formal day wear," whatever that is. I think the fabric would be better for an Argyll jacket for day wear. I don't think the PC lends itself well to being dressed down.

    One thing for certain a PC worn during the day, is most definitely not traditional. The barathea(black usually), silver buttoned argyll is the traditional formal day wear jacket.
