I like it. Something in its face reminds me of a koala...
Some take the high road and some take the low road. Who's in the gutter? MacLowlife

That would probably go over about as well as a panda full mask sporran.

I am not sure. I spread the work out over about a month. I found I had to do this when my son was asleep because the face scared him! He cried the first time he saw it. I felt really bad. Anyways, I would do a little work one night for maybe a half hour to an hour. Then I would mess up and have to go back and do something again. I would not even know how much time to guess. I am sure it took a lot longer than normal because it was my first time.

Red panda or giant?
The red panda actually would make a really nice mask sporran. Giant panda might be a bit on the heavy side.

Just a recommendation on the eyes. yes, they should be solid black, but if you cannot change this at this point, put some very narrow eyelids on him. Sew or glue a piece of black fabric/felt/leather as an edge at the top and the bottom of the eye. That should take the "shocked" look out of it.

Please go easy on me as it is my first time. It definitely does not look as good as an L&M or Thorfinn, but I thought it turned out o.k. I might use different eyes next time, but not sure. I learned A LOT! This is definitely a craft that takes quite a bit of practice to get right. Anyways, here are a couple of preliminary photos. Let me know what you think.

Beautiful work. at least those eye will keep the pickpockets away
