LOL; I happened to go see the film in a kilt [not knowing beforehand about the kilt scenes] and then staggered into HT afterwords and the saleswoman [who was all but drooling over the kilt] was bemoaning that they did not get any "kilts" in for St Patrick's day and even the skirts did not have proper peats [or length [her words not mine ]].

As to the presentation of the kilt in the movie, at least it was roughly the correct length, the pleats were in the back, it appeared to be a tartan other than Black Watch/ Stewart [muted medium green/ sage tones] and he was wearing a sporran [albeit too short for a horsehair]. For a parody/ satire/ dream sequence I figure that is doing pretty well

Just saw the link -those Hot Topic kilts are bloody AWFUL!

Looks like someone wearing Ma's dress with their Johnny Rotten boots. Ugh.

Shocking that teenagers wouldn't want to wear traditional kilts just like the ones their grandfathers are wearing.

I'm only surprised they're not directly selling Depp's get up from the movie. Yet.
