You know what, in your other thread about the hose, I said I'd personally prefer more turnover, but the smaller turnover with the off-white wool somehow gives it a more formal look than what I was thinking of. Not really sure how to explain it...perhaps sort of like the difference between buckles and regular wingtips...?
Funny, I sort of think the same thing. Like I said, I have a lot of mixed feelings about this pair.

Speaking of narrow turnovers, check out this post: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...tml#post865014 Looks like the short cuff in a dressy setting isn't a new idea.

Yep,...it's coming together. I like the hose. I especially like the pattern you put into the back of the calf.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying some variations on this pattern. I think I could work that design into a thistle without too much trouble.

Here's a bit more stuff that I don't think warrants its own post, so I'll tack it on in this one.

New DIY converted jacket and new belt and buckle.

    Belt and buckle.

Kilt pin, since I realize I didn't get a close up of it last time around.

    Today's outfit.

The belt and buckle where from Scotweb, and they were a few pounds cheaper than anywhere else in town even before the xmarks discount. Plus, since I stay right around the corner from their office, they even hand delivered my order!
