    I had an old "Rogers Rangers" bonnet that didn't have much in the way of ribbons (what it did have didn't stay tied very well) & I solved the problem with the needle & thread method.

    Thanks mate. I've just ordered a new diced, fawn balmoral, from Robert Mackie, with the ribbons tied.

    Liking the light colored Bonnets

    I recently purchased a Mackie bonnet and then purchased a pattern to knit and then felt my own. I am curious how to felt the crown and then knit the dicing as I have recently seen. Very interesting. I wish I had known I had the option of having the back prepared for tying as mine came sewn together.

    I also am going to learn how to put a liner in. Do any of the rabble have a wife that is experienced in this?
