If not, you should limit your celebrations, and thus your kilt wearing, to days whose names end in Y.

In another thread someone shared a link to a YouTube video (there are a series of them, I believe) of Tartan Day celebrations on Aberdeen last year on August 2. Perhaps it was a local thing or maybe it just wasn't publicized very well.

For the past few years, our local pipe band has done an early Saturday morning "Calling of the Clans" from several hilltops around Helena, with pipers and drummers on those hills alternating tunes. However, because of Easter Sunday, we decided to forego that activity this year. I don't think that it occurred to anyone to shift those activities to Saturday the 10th.
We are sponsoring a "Kirkin' of the Tartan" on Tuesday evening at the local Episcopal Church. This will be the third year for the kirkin' but we're hoping that the turnout is better than last year's Sunday afternoon event.
I'll be wearing a kilt all day on the 6th, I just haven't figured out which one, yet. It will either be the Mod. Htg. Robertson, or the Mod. Red Robertson. My co-workers have become fairly well accustoned to occasionally seeing me kilted at work, and there seem to be no objections from anyone, here.

Taos, New Mexico
Taos, New Mexico will be celebrating with a Kilt Night at Eskes Brew Pub, complete with Celtic music, on Wednesday April, 14th. I will be wearing the kilt from sunup to well after sundown!
