Put in my Postal Code then it gave me my lat/long so I deleted my personal stuff and went wiith that. That's my blue Focus in the driveway. I then noticed that there is free beer and bread at BEEDEE's house.

Google Maps does not always enter a street address in exactly the right place.

A very accurate way to place your pin is to zoom in till you can see where you want the pin to be. Then click the map at that place. The Lat./Long. will automatically be entered and the pin will go exactly where you want.

    Folks,

So far we have 42 members who haven entered their member location.

But it seems a few have entered something they had not intended.

I can edit any information if you will simply send me an email or PM.

I will need to know which pin you are so please send me the name or identification of the pin.
Then tell me what you would like to change.

I am working on a full set of instructions and should have them early this week.

Hi, would you prefer I have my marker changed to a member rather than a kiltmaker?

I'm not an advertiser ATM so I don't mind if you want it done.

    Personally I don't care Hothir.

But let me explain the thought behind the Kiltmaker Map Pin. The idea was to give our new members the ability to look at the map for their area, and find a Kilt Shop. Or if a member was planning a trip somewhere, to find a Kilt Shop in the area they want to visit.

We would rely on members to post the location of their local kilt makers to help out other members.
    .
So, I added the Kiltmaker Map Pin for that reason.

But if you want to have a Kilt Maker Map Pin I'm not going to object. It really has nothing to do with being an advertiser on this site. It has more to do with one member helping out another with information.

Grant, if you ever make it down to this remote part of North Carolina, I will certainly provide you with a free beer and it won't be mass produced or lite.

I added myself but must have botched up the address, as it put the pin in the center of my zip code instead of my home address. Not really much of a problem, as I am sure anyone wanting to visit, would likely PM first and not just drop by. If they don't so other family will be completely surprised by kilted visitors, so be it.

I'll certainly drink your beer Brian but to be honest I'd really love to try your bread.

I'm curious, in Canada my Postal Code is specific to the dozen or so houses in my cul-de-sac. How large of an area does a Zip code cover?

From the quite small, to the (usually) quite huge. Mine covers about 12x12 city blocks.

There is a 4 digit addition that can get down to within half a block or so, but few people bother with it.
