I managed to remove all the dandelions from the gardens here as they are ideal food for psittacine birds, the seed heads in particular make ideal food for the chicks. It has taken many years for the plants to recolonise - there are just a few pioneers, but without the constant harvesting of leaves and seeds I suspect that they will make a rapid bid for expansion into their former haunts.

At least they are more cheerful than Bellis perennis, though not so useful as a remedial herb.
