There was a vendor on EBay that sold a bespoke linen kilt jacket and waistcoat.. I tried to find a link, but they are not showing anything currently listed.. his name was acolander and the store was Major Slackers Highland and Imperial Things Emporium.

Following the excellent results of my previous made-to-measure kilt jacket (by MacKenzie Frain), I decided to give Major Slacker's linen kilt jackets a try. My order is now in, and as soon as the jacket and waistcoat arrive, you may expect an in-depth review of the product.

    Scott,

I just checked out the linen suit at major Slacker's e-bay store. That is one sharp suit you're buying. I'd like something like that even up here in the far reaches of upstate New York (an hour south of Canada). Believe it or not we have extended periods of mid to high nineties with relentless humidity here. Even when the weather is in the seventies there are times when the "all seasons" (ha!!) worsted wool suit is just too darned hot. When I was much younger (and much thinner!) I had pincord suits which were the nuts in the Summer. I've never been brave enough to do the linen suit business, but if I had a kilt (and the coin) this would be my choice for Summer now.

    Looking forward to your review,

    Brian

PS - I just noticed the hat in the picture of the suit. It is almost exactly the same as my 60 year old Panama that was my great-grandfather's. Now I really wish I could afford a kilt and that suit!
