    X-Kilt(ed) in Sun Peaks, BC

My family and I spent the night in Sun Peaks last week before heading to Chase for my brother's wedding. On display is my x-kilt #1, finished about 3 weeks or so ago, also my kilt belt and buckle and sporran that I had posted in another thread in this forum. Since finishing this x-kilt, I have made another for myself, and one for my son to wear to the wedding.

Later this trip, I was required to cut off 8" or so of the under apron, as my mother needed to quickly enlarge the best man's (traditional) kilt, since the groom managed to screw up the measurements. The heavy poly/cotton twill of the x-kilt was strong enough to handle the task, and I have lots of leftover fabric from the making of my first 2 x-kilts to re-extend the under apron!

Good on you...sounds like you have been one busy guy. Beautiful place up there isn't it? We try to get up a couple of times of year, particularly for the Sunday brunch at the Delta. Did you take the back way down to Chase?

No, we weren't sure we would make it, as we had no one with us that knew the way -- One of my relatives tried to join us from Chase by taking that back route and got horribly lost... He managed to get back to Chase, but spent 2 hours mucking around on those back roads in the dark!

Looks great. I really want to make an Xkilt, not gonna happen anytime soon. Had wrist surgery yesterday. So, until I can make mine, I will just enjoy looking at what everybody has made.
