Thank you, but I won't be keeping it. I'm making a full mask for myself. This one will be shopping for a new owner.

Once again, nice work. Keep at it and welcome to the addiction!

The hide I used for the bag itself is a one of a kind. It was made as a test piece by a company I used to work for (an Italian leather furnishings co.)

It was one of a series that wasn't picked up for production - the colour was too hard to control from hide to hide so it was presented to the customers with the asterisk that there would be GREAT variation from hide to hide. The customers didn't really like that idea.

It was going to throw it away, along with the the hides testing two other colours. I asked if I could have it (should have tried to get all three... but oh well.)

The interior panels and 'hanger' on the back are from 4-5oz veg tan from Tandy Leather, dyed in a complimentary colour.

What are people's thoughts on the toggles? Too big? I know they're oddly shaped, I wanted to evoke the idea of finger bones. Primitive inspiration/ exotic materials sort of thing. My next one may use some Macassar Ebony I have around.

It's fine around little ones, but keep leather away from 'chewy' dogs
If you're interested the piece, drop me a PM.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I like the look of the wood, especially the closure piece on the flap. For my tastes. the toggles are a bit large. I hate the drumming effect on a sporran. It amused me for a while but now it is tiresome, as my own creation with ox horn toggles, thumps while I walk. I like the selection of wood so much that I may attempt to find some for my next creation . . . .
