Na, what you need is some salsa from Taos: the habanero and red chili kind. And you put that on the black beans with some sour cream or cheese or something like that; plain yoghurt also works. Then you take your corn tortillas and you toast them on the stove burner or the cast iron skillet, spoon some of the beans on the tortilla, fold it or roll it, and eat.

Make sure you have a glass of milk handy...

Dang...that sounds good. I wish I had a 7-11 within 50 miles. That's okay. I'm all stuffed full of Funions, Tapatio and Dr. Pepper right now.

What were we talking about? Oh yeah...that Gunn guy and his malarky advice column. I cared so little what he thought that completely lost track of what this was all about.

The guy makes tons of money and countless people read his writings and seek out his advice, yet we care so little we got distracted by junk food.

Sean, I really must diagree with the quotes. Firstly, often I look to replace trousers with the kilt - otherwise I don't look like myself in a casual setting. Therefore, in the fashionable modern world people generally don't tuck t-shirts in, and neither do I. I don't tuck mine into the kilt, as I often buy them quite tight-fitting anyway, so they're not bagging and they really don't hang.

I dunno that we're disagreeing, actually. Next time you're out buying clothes, try on a t-shirt that fits in the shoulders and has a good torso length, and then try one that's a size or two too large. That's the difference...usually you'll only notice with a jacket or a dress shirt, and only if it's too small...but too large does make a difference, even with t-shirts.

I wear my t-shirts untucked too, with kilt or pants. As a matter of fact, at the moment I have two things to wear on top of my kilt...t-shirts, and hoodies . Either one, if too large, looks goofy. It's not about tucking in the t-shirt, that's just silly...it's all about picking the right size for your body.

As for being a well-dressed gentleman. There is a time and a place, and I certainly can dress-up in my kilt. But that's what it is - dressing up. I don't run around in tweed Argyll jackets during the day and prince charlies in the evening. I, for one, could be described as a rather sloppy teenager who can often be well-dressed in the correct setting. Anything upto semi-formal, I am keen on dressing much like a young person - kilted or not.

So basically when I wear a t-shirt, I wear it untucked - kilt or not. When I wear a shirt I often wear it tucked-in.

Oh, you can turn out well in jeans and a t-shirt . IMHO, being a gentleman has !#@%-all to do with what you're wearing. How you're wearing it...as in, does it fit properly? has more to do with making a good visual impression than whether it's a suit or a burlap sack.

Ehh, what do I care; no sleight taken. I only half count anyway.

The best 7-11 I've found was a place in Eagle, Alaska...actually, I don't even think it was a 7-11, just the local convenience store. The important thing was, it was really hot out, and they had a Slurpee machine.

Well...back to the topic...yes, I agree, the guy's suggestions for kilt accessories are tantamount to buffoonery...but I'll stand by what I assume is his intent for guys to actually look good once in a while, even if our natural inclination is to roll out of bed, swab with deodorant, and smell-check the pile for something clean enough to wear to work .
