The bonnet that you made for me is in hand, and it is supurlative in every way. I will post pictures in a new thread next week, if my poor camera has any life left in it. The salt water has done it's deed.

You are kind indeed, sir, and I'm very glad that you like it.
Here's a picture of the bonnet in question, along with matching garters. Note the needle felted cereal number, which will now accompany all bonnets:

Thanks, brother!
You can't tell from the picture, but I'd almost call it a sort of low-key lovat green... an earthy light green with bits of muted blue. Mark picked out the color at the same yarn shop where I get all my yarn, Silver Threads & Golden Needles, down the way from the Tartans Museum on Franklin's Main Street. He chose it specifically to match his eye color, and made a wonderful choice. It should look good with almost anything, I think. Really an excelent choice.

They are such a strange family of colours. Neither one thing or the other, at least in photographs
