I've asked to have Sunday off so I can also be there for the honored clan this year, my family clan - Wallace. I'll plan on meeting X-Markers at 2:00 at the Lockhart tent.

I'll be there! Manning the STM tent, in fact...

...oh boy.
2:00 sounds good to me. I'll be here:

Ryan, do you have a good hat to wear? I can loan you one, if you need it.

You're a good man, David, but I think I'm covered. I know a guy.

Yes and be sure to come march with in the Parade of Tartans. We will have to be a little early this year since we will be in the front of the line. Normally we are one of the last clans to hit the field.

What times will the Parade of Tartans be? I didn't see any time listed on the Grandfather Mtn website. I'll probably look to find the Wallace tent as soon as I get there. This will be my first time to Grandfather Mtn. I'll be driving in from Interstate 81/ Johnson City. Anyone have any tips for me?

The only thing I can tell you is that if you're within a 30 mile radius of Johnson City, make a trip to Scratch Pizza. You'll thank me later.

Parade of Tartans is part of opening ceremonies. I seem to remember it times past that's around 10, but please check when you get there.

That's going to be a twisty trip through the mountains. Will you be in Johnson City already, or are you coming up from FL just for the weekend? The reason I ask is that there are easier ways to get to G'pappy than to go through Johnson City.
