Jock, I can tell you that your sporran is perrfect! Learning of the McRostie is one of the best tips I have gotten here on xmarks.

NOW back to the theme - Two days until Thursday!

Now, now...all this talk of sporran size might just offend those with small ones. Besides, it's not the size that matters...it's how you use it!

So, back to those mini-kilt photos...We're all waiting...

I'm just trying to figure out why the one bloke said he'd try to talk her out of in once he got it on her. Seems an unnecessary step to me. I guess it might stay cleaner, but still....

Well... I guess huge is subjective ;) The black sporran I had been using is a semi-dress, so a little fancier than I'd like for day-to-day. And it barely holds my iPhone, wallet, and keys. Actually, I can carry either my truck keys (with remote), or my house keys... not both.

This BK just gobbles everything I've tried putting in it with room to spare. As for actual size... I can measure it when I get home, but I think Zardoz's measurements sound about right.

Sadly, the days of talking this lass out of her kilt are far behind us... but doesn't mean I don't enjoy taking a gander ;) I swear on my grandfather's tartan, pics on Thursday night!

    Wink Pics are up!

Drinks went well. I tried a new single malt... Talisker 10. I believe it was Jock Scot who recommended that moniker, and he is to me of the highest authority, so I tried it (neat, of course). I was very pleased with how well balanced it was! Lura (my lass friend) liked it, as well, even though she isn't a whisky drinker.

Speaking of Lura, I know the only reason anyone is still checking this thread is to see pics of her :P so here they are. Please bear in mind the pics don't do her justice... she's even hotter in real life ;)

And since I never posted a pic of the USA Kilts casual in Firefighters Memorial Rocky made for me not too long ago, here's a pic of my mate Will wearing it. It's his first time in a kilt ever! I'd like to say I finally wore him down, but it was really Lura. Who could tell her no? (see pics above to justify my argument)

No pics of me in my kilt. I was too busy taking pictures (and drinking) to have my own taken :P But the three of us, all kilted up, did draw the attention of someone from Irish Mist handing out free drinks. Two lassies wearing BW minis. I asked if they had any special significance to wearing Campbell tartans, something I found amusing considering Lura is wearing a MacDonald tartan. They had just grabbed them from some costume shop and had no clue about the tartan. One of them, however, actually was a Campbell, interestingly enough!

Oh, and the sporran. Zardoz' measurements were the same as mine... 8 x 8.5 inches, and it opens a couple inches wide at the mouth. Very roomy.

Oh, and Rocky... Don't recall if I'd explicitly said so, but Lura absolutely gushes over her minikilt. You get a giant thumbs up from her!

Now to find her a mini sporran. Don't ask me why. She just wants one

I dunno...just don't look right without the sporran...there are children's sporrans that are smaller than a regular sporran.

My thoughts exactly... that's what we recommend to women who want a sporran:
