The Scottish Tartans Museum carries 'fully fashioned hose' for those with +16" calves (which I have). You might also consider custom knitted hose. They'll cost a lot more, but probably wear better than commercial ones (AND fit, to boot! )

If you look at the money wasted on hose that don't fit, you've probably already spent more than a good custom pair or two would cost.

I have 21 inch calves. I have several pair of the fully fashioned hose from STM. I love them! They're SO comfortable!

well MoR and all other sock makers out there...I am MORE than willing to pay a person rather than a corporation for this sort of thing...what is the next step?

I just measured the calves and they are a moderate 16"
my calf ends around 16" up the leg with the initial bend of the knee being at around 19". My shoes size is 12W/13.

Thoughts?
