Well... OK... if you say so it must be so. However I don't think any offense should or would be taken by the addition of "Royal". And my recollection is that that's how they did it in the 'Sir Francis Drake' TV series, from which I learned all my courtly titles.

Kings and queens have the style of Majesty (HM). Some, throughout history have also used Royal Majesty (HRM).
Please note that HM Queen Elizabeth II does not use HRM, so it may have been used in the past with other monarchs, it however is not with this one. On Her Majesty's (official, not Facebook!) page with I've referenced above, you will not find the phrase "Her Royal Majesty", or "Royal Majesty" even once, as hard as you might look. Alas, a TV show might have given you a guess that was close, but ultimately may have lead you astray...
