Casual kilt jackets?

I frequently wear a wool sweater with my kilt. It's a navy blue wooly-pully style.

I rarely wear a jacket unless its really cold. For easy going, beat around work and chores I like a pull over. This is a West German pull over with the flashes taken off, very warm and comfortable and well worth the money. I believe I paid something like $40.00. The last one I had lasted 20 years. If its really cold I put on what ever is warm!

For hiking in cool weather I've generally worn a Marine Corps "Woolly Pully" crewneck wool pullover sweater. Looks like the current version has epaulettes:

For hiking in cool weather I've generally worn a Marine Corps "Woolly Pully" crewneck wool pullover sweater. Looks like the current version has epaulettes:

The 'woolly pully' has been on my list of wants for quite some time. But I do already have a vintage military sweater (more of my dad's surplus) like this one. I actually like the buttons and collar on that sweater better than any other sweater I've found, anywhere. I am very fond of that sweater, and I always look forward to cool weather just so I can wear it.

That's an interesting jacket. I like the collar on it, and the overall look is unique. I also like the "washed canvas bomber" below it. So many choices, arrrgh!

Tobus asked about the NPS "pop bottle" jacket. NPS uniform items are only available to NPS personnel, but this jacket from L.L. Bean is close:

The NPS version is a cross between this and a "flight jacket" with gathered sleeves and hem.

Another good suggestion. A "field/barn" style coat from Bean, Woolrich, etc. is similar to a Barbour in cut and might work.
