    I like the way you did the white stripes on the edge of the pleat.
    I am making a Leslie tartan kilt now also, but I only have 3 pleats done so far.......

    Thanks! It actually looks better in person, than in these pix. The lighting can sort of obscure the white lines a bit. Next time I would probably try and keep them to the outside edge of the pleats only. I thought I'd balance them here - one inside edge, one outside for symmetry sake, but the inner ones can tend to recede visually, depending on the angle/lighting. Live and learn.

    Although, I'm not really sure I could have moved that element over into the adjacent pleat and still keep the same proportions in the stripes. Deciding which element goes where and pleat size can make me go cross-eyed, when initially planning out the pleats. I usually make a scan of the fabric and plot it out a few times, then go with the plot I like best.
