    Supporting the STM

Though I have never been there, I truly believe in the value of the Scottish Tartan Museum. I do my best to support them whenever I am able. I am not able to make a grandiose donation, but I support them whenever possible through things like the kilt raffle and dropping hints about Christmas and birthday presents that can be purchased through the gift shop.

My birthday is a few weeks away, but tonight I found out that I am getting a tartan county cap from the STM for my birthday. I am totally psyched about the cap, but I am also happy to have played a role, however small, in supporting the STM.

Matt & Co, thank you for all the work that you do. I am still saving for one of Matt's kilts and I look forward to a visit to the museum in the near future.

Thanks so much for your post. We appreciate your support, and the support of other X Markers, whether large or small.

Some are able to make outright donations to the museum, which are always most welcome. But our regular source of income is through gift shop purchases, so simply by shopping our site, you are supporting our efforts, which we appreciate. Every little bit counts!

My wife and I visited my daughter and son-in-law in Raleigh, NC over the holidays. I really, really wanted to stop by the Scottish Tartans Museum during our trip to NC but couldn't make the trip from Raleigh to Franklin until January 1st. Unfortunately (for me anyway!), the museum was closed on the holiday.

However, we are already planning our next trip to NC to attend the Highland Games in July. You can bet we won't miss a visit to the museum this time!

Funny holiday related story, I ordered a couple of T-shirts from the STM a while back. My wife must have seen the brochure around and ordered me two Christmas presents from there, both were well received. Out of all the vendors I have used over the years, I am glad she found the STM and ordered them from there.
