I think the kilt you made me is wonderful (except for the fact that I have lost some girth around the middle, and it now requires quite the belt to keep up), and I thought my goth kilt was a great value when I bought it, and I think even at $25 more it would be a great value. If you are worried about the sticker shock of a $25 across the board increase, you might (as others suggested) look at a percentage increase. Over all, the fact that you haven't raised prices in four years is amazing. In my industry, I have not gotten a real budget increase in six years (we stopped paying for advertising, and moved some of that money to my budget -- a move I'm still not sure I'm comfortable with) -- but in theater construction, my price on lumber has almost doubled in that time, but with no budget increase it is harder to do as much. You face much the same issues -- only you get some control of your income because you set the price. I would much rather see you raise prices a bit now, than hear you are going out of business by the time I can afford to buy my husband a steam punk kilt.

And to any reading this who don't have an alt.kilt - get one. It is my favorite unapologetically contemporary kilt on the market -- and my very pierced and inked students suddenly think that even I am cool when I wear it.

    Cheers
    Chris

ive been looking at your kilts for some time now and this will be my next purchase... a $25 dollar increase while unexpected is reasonable and understandable, it wont change my mind about buying one.
compared to the $250 dollar utilikilt starting price i do beleive i will go with an alt kilt. but free shipping would be cool or mabey the id pocket for free .

    .
Same here. I have been feeling the need for a non-tartan kilt and I really like the options you offer. I am saving up for an Alt.Kilt.

Furthermore, I am driven to support your cause of helping your son, which is why all my nephews are getting kilts this year.

I'm not sure if you've raised your prices yet but I just placed my order for 2 kilts for my daughter & myself! We're looking forward to wearing our altkilts & are happy to have made a donation to the cause! Keep up the great work. Unfortunately it's expected that with the increase in cost for just about anything these days that you too would have to make an increase in what you charge. Thanks again
