In other words - 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock are wrong - and hard to see. Wear them at about 1 and 11 o'clock and you'll look better.
And if you have dicing on your hose foldover, align that edge with the centre (no I'm not an American) of the diamond. I can just about here the "harrumphs" already, but don't take if from me alone....
Check out the Dress Regulations from the Royal Regiment of Scotland site - the big "super-regiment" in Britain now incorporating all the former Scottish regiments and there's a visual.
