If you are looking for BASIC information you are best served by the rounded and short Osprey books on the subject. Several good ones. The Jacobite Risings, the Jacobite Army 1745-46 and The Highland Clansman 1689-1746. But please, dont take them as gospel in all regards, they do contain a few mistakes and are some what written with a Hanoverian bias. But for what they are, they are very good and very entertaining.
