My son wears his time to time. He is currently a grad student at KSU. He would wear it more but he works in a lab and long pants are required. He went to the KU-KSU ball game Sat night wearing a Buchannan kilt. Girls seem to like it and he has never gotten any bad comments from other guys. I'd say go for it.
