I agree Skauwt, the early series was bad enough, now it is shameful and shameless, totally without any standards of morality whatsoever, yet it is so popular on British tv.
I would not like to think that I am advocating for anyone to watch the recent and current series but only because James McAvoy probably made his name in it

ive only bothered with a few programmes myself way i see it if i want to experience what the show has to offer i just need to walk about the schemes of central scotland  or visit a rough pub ..it a depicts a class of society i try to avoid... i guess its one of those shows i can use memory more than imagination hence the desire to avoid it
