OK - well you just use positive reinforcement.
When you wear your kilt, be more attentive, romantic, helpful - don't overdo it, or you'll be rumbled in a minute, just do slightly more smiling, listening and stay closer.
When you wear trousers be slightly preocupied, wander off and find something to do or talk about what you are planning, or yourself in general.
Be subtle!!!

I did learn a bit about what colors I should avoid wearing, like bright orange or yellow, from her, so...
So no Buchanan tartan?

I AM attemtive! And I wander off occasionally (blame it on the ADD). The thing is, she scoffs and rolls her eyes and has never even SEEN me in the kilt! I just got the thing and she saw it in the closet, smirked and walked away...[sigh]

So, she's not actually SEEN you wear the kilt? Just rolled her eyes at it as it hung on a hanger?
Kinda premature in creating this thread what? Let us know how she reacts while you wear it! We're rowing for you!

My wife actually prefers a smart casual look over a plain casual look- button down/collared shirts, nice sweaters, etc. And I like to dress that way.
