How about an app that would allow you to take an iPhone photo of a tartan and then identify the tartan for you?

I like the overall look and feel. There are a few inconsistencies from page to page in regard to white space around the edges. I haven't looked to see if the new site uses CSS or if each page is hand coded, but the latter would explain some of this. Matt, would you like a breakdown of specifics by PM or do would you rather not be bothered by such trivial matters?

From a design perspective, I love the vibrancy of the background image. Unfortunately, the gents at the top of each page kind of get lost. There are couple of things that could be tried in an effort to increase the clarity between the two objects (background and header images) if you care to explore those options.

I'm not seeing any white edges on the background on any of the pages -- the tartan background image should automatically resize to completely fill whatever size window you have open. If you are seeing white edges, send me a PM with the specific page(s) you are having problems with and what browser you are using. Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion, Matt. I was using graphic design terms. I am not seeing any white-colored (or lacking color, technically) space around the background image. I was talking about the area between the words on the inset section of each page and border of said inset. If you look at your Home page, the Museum page, and the first page under "Education" titled What Is Tartan?, all three pages have different amounts of space between words and the edge of the box in which they sit.

This is consistent in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera, so it's in the coding, not the browser's interpretation of it.
