You may have a point. But, if Americans wear their sporrans too low, in your opinion, then he made less of an impression on his own Scottish subjects. Moreover, I doubt many Americans reviewed photos of the British royal (whether prince or king) before donning the sporran for the first time...until this wonderful webby came along. But, you may still be right as I admit your track record at being correct is better than mine.
