Someone wants squarish top, brass cantles

The next 2 photos I believe should be credited to the Scottish Tartans Museum collection previously posted by Matt Newsome

Does anyone, Matt Newsome, have dimensions for the sporran at the tartan Museum, and where is the real square one from? The Fourth one down, Love it.

Wetootwaag, the square top sporran is in a museum in Scotland, I got the photo from a posting on this site. As for the dimensions of most of these brass cantled sporran, I believe that at the widest points they will be in the vicinity of 6 - 7 inches. I have seen 3 rounded brass cantles and they measured 6.25" and two at 6.50". This did not inclue the hinge knobs

Gosh, there have been dozens here over the last 18 months in various vintage sporran or brass cantle threads.

Here's one that sold on eBay: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...sporran-64708/
