This is mine, recently upgraded from a pewter basket hilt sword.
image.jpgWhen I bought this sporran the centre tassle was missing. On a recent holiday to Devon and Cornwall I found a grouse foot pin much like yours in an antique shop in Charlestown, Cornwall. I put it on the sporran in the spot where the tassle was missing and I think it looks quite good ......I learned from someone here that it was originally likely a ladies broach. I'm very grateful for that bit of historical information ...but I still like where I wear it and it is a great reminder of a wonderful holiday......I hadn't been back to Devon in almost 50 years.......and it was in another small village, Kingswear, where I proposed to my wife.....We returned there, even to the same house and in the garden I got down on my knee and proposed again heh! heh! .....and after some thinking, she said YES..... again!......very brave of me I thought!.....or foolish of her......but we both had a good laugh!.... as did the lady who was showing us the garden
