You'll have to do an extra click from here to see 'em, but these ARE "public" links.

For dressin' up: Custom sgian by Rab Gordon. High carbon Damascus blade. 3,000-5,000 year old Culloden bog oak; silver pins & fittings; Iona Marble pommel stone.

For everything else: Custom staghorn sgian by our own Taygrd. Differentially hardened 1095 carbon steel blade; stag handle (got to pick out the specific piece of antler I wanted); buffalo horn pommel.

Well, a few reasons. 1) At 15 bucks a pop and 10 bucks shipping, it seemed more cost effective to get two. 2) I like knives! 3) I have a far fetched idea to maybe rehandle or carve the handle on one this winter if I'm feeling ambitious. Something to play with. 4) there are three people in the house who wear kilts. No such thing as too many accessories around

Couldn't agree more. I'm really looking forward to the day when I have the spare change to commission something from Drac. And Artificer for that matter.

By the way, really cool work on the knots! Great idea and it looks terrific. Nice job.

    Here's my meager collection

Top is a Thin Red Line Firefighter's Memorial made by our own Taygrd

Next is a standared store bought that a lady admirer gave me as a birthday gift - most thoughtful of her.

Middle is the miniature replica Ka-Bar. Should have shown the leather sheath with EGA that Kathy Lare's husband Rob Theige made for it.

Next is Hopi made - found at a trading post on the rez in Cameron, Arizona.

Bottom is Navajo made - found at a trading post here in town on the rez border.
