33 Inches! - I am trying not to hate you.
The easiest way is to move the buckle on the right hip and the strap on the left hip (both by the same amount). Then, if you get back to your original waist size, you can move them back again.
I have done this before and am able to do it in 59 minutes, stitching by hand. A little bit tedious, but not impossible. If you can sew a button on, you can do this.
