    I use only one sgian, made by Inverness silversmith Medlock & Craik, and given to my father in the 1930's. I like it because it is very thin and light, suitable for any occasion. I keep it sharpened.

    The hallmarks on sgians must wear off awfully easily, as all that is left is a wee smudge! Considering it is over 70 years old this is hardly surprising.
