Guess I'm in the minority here. I've had a beard a few times in my life (always came in red as could be) for only a few weeks each time. I just could never stand the feel and the heat of it and I couldn't wait to shave it off. What a relief! Plus......the beard always makes you look older. I'm so damned old anyway......I don't need anymore help with that!
I have always felt facial hair and long hair were an effort to deviate from the norm! Kilts are the same. I have always worn long hair and facial hair. Started wearing the kilt on a regular basis to be even more "different". I have since gotten very interested in my heritage and am even more proud to wear the kilt. My favorite T-shirt states "You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you are all the same!"
Not the clearest picture, but the most recent, I've had a beard for 4 years now, and it's much nicer than shaving every morning. It looks good with a kilt too.
Well then- I have a goat. And it's not because I want to be deviant. I don't see it that way at all. It's simply a natural and comfortable thing for me, just like having long hair.
