Guess you could grow a bermuda grass beard...
Might go well with a Hawaiian shirt and solid color kilt.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I didn't bother to read the whole thread (16 pages is a wee bit much for us dyslexics to suffer through sometimes, but I will ad this if it has not been said before.
As far as kilt accessories are concerned, my beard is the least expensive one I have ever owned. And, allowing for a week or two of growth, very changeable as well providing ample opportunity for trying out a different look without costing an arm and a leg or guessing what something you buy off the internet will actually look like when you get it home.
Fact that it is cheaper makes the wife happier but that is probably offset by her having to suffer with the razor stubble scratchiness at every transition phase.

Hey James, I think that bear picture is quoted into your post now. I'm going to go ahead and remove it from mine, so I don't have to keep track of where I've posted it. Hope to keep it in the gallery, though.

That pic back there was at the Arizona Renaissance Festable from March 30, of this year. It's the Ren Fare Bear! I've been collecting pictures of me wearing a kilt while standing next to bear sculptures. I have two others so far up in the gallery and so on.

I had beards up until my mid 20s. In fact, I had one when I was sent to Fort Monmouth, NJ for a three months exchange stay with the US Army. It was fun how the Yanks would accept my quirkiness.
I thought it made my face look fat and shaved it off. So, nothing other than stubble since then in the beard front.
I did have moustaches until I turned 30 and felt I didn't need to look older. The tache was off and on up until I met my wife who dislikes facial hair. My guess is that it reminds her of pious Jews.
I disagree that a beard is a necessity.

I had a mustache from highschool until I started college. I was told that the mustache didn't work too well. I don't think I liked it in the first place, so I erased it... The rabbit ears are ok though.

But are you still kilted??!! A comparison photo is what is required with this claim.

Wow, James, do you know how to start a thread!
I like beards, but I'm not planning on growing one.

You could pay someone else to grow and wear a beard for you...
