When I was growing up (physically, anyway), everyone in our household played an instrument & every Christmas, before Christmas dinner, we'd all pull out our instruments & play Christmas carols together - my Dad & brother on coronets, my step-Mom on piano, my sister on violin & me on saxophone. Well, my Dad's passed on & my sister is up in Washington, but this year for the first time in several years, my step-Mom, brother & I got together on Christmas Day & renewed our family tradition of playing Christmas carols.

me warming up...

my nearly 89 year old step-Mom tickling the ivories...

all 3 of us jammin'... (my brother plays Native American flutes now, instead of coronet)

& my wife joining us for the big finale!

Anyway, just thought I'd share one of our family holiday traditions.

What's some of yours?
