If there was a DJ at that reception, he wasn't doing his job well - not well at all!

As a professional DJ (ADJA member), the majority of events I do are wedding receptions. I make sure to work out with the bride (& sometimes MOB) not only the order of the reception events, but an approximate timeframe as well. I make a point of sharing this with the photographer/videographer ahead of time & then gently remind the bride when it's time to throw the bouquet.

Worst reception I had to endure was one I only did because the MOB was a friend of my wife. I won't go into the whole litany of disasters that went on except to say that the low point had to be when the drunken groom decided to shed his clothes & skinny-dip in the pool at this backyard wedding/reception. Not surprisingly, the "marriage" lasted little more than a year.

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

I lit a reception in a front yard with a pool where the groom had announced in advance he intended to go down the large water slide that started above the garage and ended in the lawn level pool IN his tuxedo.
If you can't be good, be entertaining!!!
