What he said! I have a canvas Nightstalker, though. And in truth, even though it is very utilitarian, I just don't like the look as much as I do the Buzz Kidders.

For some reason many sporran vendors don't mention the SIZE of their products. Be sure you know before you buy. I had a couple Buzz Kidder sporrans and sold them because the opening at the top was too small for my hand. Sometimes, the best place to check out or buy a sporran is at a highland games where you can check out the size in relation to your needs and hand size.

Good point. That is a consideration. I will admit that my BK Country Sporran doesn't have the largest opening. I could measure it, but I can't get to it without waking a flu-bitten wife, and I'm kinda fond her when she isn't Cranky.

Mine is big enough to reach into pretty comfortably, but I don't have the biggest hands out there. To put it in perspective, I wear a large work glove or mechanics glove and I can still pull things out of it easily. Keep in mind though, I'm talking about normal sizes of sporran-filling items such as wallet, keys, cell-phone, digital camera, chew can, microwave burritos, etc. A softball would drop right in, but I might have to do some fancy maneuvering to get it out. If I wore an XL glove, I think it would still work for me, but not as well. 2XL...fuggettabouit. It's not perfect, but for many average guys it's a good combo of durable, pretty, spacious and affordable.

I have the BK Country, but it looks like the Inverness might be a little bigger in the top. An email to Jerry or Rocky would probably get the measurements if that's a concern.

This is some good advice! We have our local games/festival March 26-27; I'll be keeping this advice in mind.

Another *** on the Buzz Kidders. They are so easy to operate with one hand that I don't notice I'm even doing it most of the time...very natural. Lots of room, several design options.
