Very, very clever and very funny!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I got a wild hair up my a$$ and that was the last of the styled hair on my head. That thread on baldies a while back got me to thinking.... one thing led to another. Don't worry, I'll grow a long mustache and do a comb-up.

Thanks. Making decent progress. I have a new slogan, as you can see. (With apologies to Steppenwolf)

Alas! My parental duties made me leave far too early. 2100 hours. But I had to feed the boy and make sure he went to bed. However, I will soon be the VERY proud owner of a Thorfinn original! He will start getting some of his buttons from me. Unfortunately my sample stock is almost non existant, he never the less, got some for his sporrans. I had to show off my new DREADBELLY TAM! Man it's nice!!Hmmm... should I mention the young lass at the FS that fell in love with my fangs? Nah. Better not mention it! Maybe next time I won't have to cut out so early. Turpin, It's always a pleasure! Now we just need to get everyone down to Memphis for a Taking names and kicking @$$ kilt night.

That's what I understand the issue to be with making kilts out asymmetric tartans. You can't just take 4 yards and rip/flip/join it like you can a symmetric or the sett goes all wiliwaud. Like with the Maple Leaf tartan. I think MacHummel plans to make a lot of those kilts by ripping a full single length and making two kilts, one from each side of the length.

OK, I finally figured out what the issue is with the tartans. Dirk just put his kilt on upside down. That explains the red stripe being on top of the yellow, whereas mine is worn correctly.
