Matt, nice choice. This may not previously have been 'your thing' but you wear it well and, of course, it looks very good - would we expect anything else from Rocky and Kelly? No!
Hopefully this will be your first of many steps along the path of alternatives.

Some people have expressed some awe that a "traditionalist" like myself might wear sandals or a Hawaiian shirt with a kilt. To be honest I haven't "changed my mind" about anything, this is just the only kilt in my current wardrobe that I think would accomodate this look.
I still count myself the traditionalist (as I said, a "hand-sewn heavyweight wool kind of guy"), but that doesn't mean I have to be a rigorist. Would I wear that outfit to a Burns Supper, or even to a Highland Games (which, to me, is a professional setting as I represent the museum when I attend that type of gathering)? No, I wouldn't.
But worn casually? Why not? There is no "traditional" reason not to!
I would wear the same eaxct outfit with a pair of kakhi shorts. And that's how I view this kilt in my wardrobe -- the same as a pair of kakhi shorts.
Like I said, I'm sure it will get A LOT of use in the summer months.

Isn't that what we're going for? Kilts and pants both options for men.

This is what you were wearing the other day when I called in, and it looks as great in pictures as it did in 3D. I'm a traditionalist, and I thought it looked brilliant! I told you so then, and I'll repeat it now.
That's also the first time I've seen a USAK up close and personal, and I'm pretty impressed with what I saw as a casual kilt - I especially like the double fringe, and I'm not really a fringe kind of guy.
[b][SIZE=2] In Soviet Russia, kilt wears you.
