My mom has a small black poodle. Now, you'd never think of a big, tough guy from Flint, Michigan hangin' out with a poodle, but...my dad was severely injured and forced to take a medical retirement. He can't do a lot of the things he always loved, like fixing cars, building things, doing repairs to all sorts of equipment, etc.
BUT, he has found a new, fun hobby that he really enjoys...he has taught my mom's poodle (Sadie) TONS of tricks that are actually quite amazing! Sadie can do more things than I ever imagined...AND nobody would dare remark anything about this poodle's trainer!

This is what I appear to be stuck with:

And Jerry is correct...I walked him yesterday while we were visiting my mom and dad and chick magnet is an understatement.

There are two kinds of Poodles: Standard Poodles, and sub-standard poodles.

Standards can be nice dogs, unless the humans that raise them are total idjits.

Poodles are one of the smartest breeds regardless of size. (I used to have two Standard poodles, now have two Cocker Spaniels).
Poodles often reflect the folks they are dealing with at the time, if your brothers think he's dumb, I'd put my bets on the Poodle any day. They make great pals and are fiercely loyal. Don't be a bully, you're bigger than he is.....

Dogs are a man's best friend but I'm not so sure about poodles. My aunt and uncle had a french poodle and I always went into allergic bouts of sneezing when I was in a confined space beside it.
