    Some great pictures there!

Yes a whole pipe band is rare in my experience for piping in the Haggis - even the big event in Dumfries had only one (though they had other pipers playing at the entrance.)

The Conga drums were used in the drum salute the band does. They add a really nice sound to the piece as well as some visual appeal. If you ever get a chance, watch FMM in concert. They use various instruments when they put on a show, not just pipes and drums.

Superb pics, Steve, looks like a great evening.
That Hudson's Bay kilt looks excellent and the jacket, waistcoat and hose go very well with it.

Thanks for posting those, Steve. I'm glad you had your new camera, because we forgot ours.
The "Haggis Party" was actually only seven band members: our Pipe Major, Pipe Sergeant, two armed guards, the haggis carrier, the dram carrier, and the addresser himself (who is Scottish-born and our lead drummer), who did a masterful job of the address.
I was a little less nervous this year, but I didn't have a drink until the whole thing was done.
I'd like to thank everyone on the board for posting all the pictures of their wonderful Robbie Burns events. It's neat to think of so many of celebrating the bard all over the world!
