Signed up, posted, and flagged. I don't expect this article to last the day with this response.

Additional Thoughts....
Barb,
You should ask to find out how many viewings the article has had, this is the first step in accessing damages -- people are viewing your work online instead of buying your book. Both the author of the article and the website owners are liable for these potential damages.
And yet another thought -- you could offer the website a replacement article of your own which provides less specific information, but includes a link to purchase your book should the reader be interested in really making a kilt.

I have had similar experiences, but not so blatant as that one.
I know it hurts though.
I once read a magazine article in which a well known teacher detailed how she had solved problems at an event she had held - except it was a fair report of a conversation I'd had with her a few weeks before publication, where I'd told her how well my students were doing....
Perhaps there will be a suitable backlash over this infringement, I certainly hope so.

I sent a comment to the "How to" people" (without signing up) and got confirmation of their receipt of my comment. Let's see how long it takes for them to respond.

The article is still there. What a rip-off! I can't imagine it will last more than 24 hours with all the comments, etc. You can always hope that this will actually lead to more sales of the book, but if the article stays up longer than 24 hours from now, I agree you should file suit against him, and EHow.
Be well,
Star
