I can"t be there
I suggest the Clachnaharry Inn at Clachnaharry, the Anderson Hotel at Fortrose (owned by an American), the Palace Hotel and the Waterfront Bar --both in Inverness, and the Dores Inn at Dores. All serve real ales, if that's what you are interested in.
But my choice for your purposes is the Castle Tavern on View Street, just near Grahams and Chisholms, Jock. Fine real ales, convenient and just a walk away for you, Ern, (the hotel can direct you) and Jock knows where to find parking for himself. I wish I could be with you.

I believe Thistle Down got the right spot.

Yes I know. A hundred yards or so further out of town from Chisholms by the traffic lights. How about that Mael, the Castle Tavern, on the Thursday?
Yes Rex, it would have been great for you to be there too. Oh well another day?

Maybe I can convince the driver to stop for me to take a pee!
We'll have been staying at Craignure for two nights before, sightseeing the area. On Thursday 22nd headed back to Glasgow for the flight back home the next day.
Craignure! There's a wonderful B & B there that has excellent food...I'll try to think of the name.

I have no choice in the matter, Sandy. Where I lay my head each night has been decided by the touring company. As I recall those two nights it will be in the Isle of Mull Hotel.

Time? As I am free that day I can fit in at any time to suit you. I will PM you my mobile no and when you can see how your schedule is looking nearer the time, perhaps you could let me know.
I note from your itinerary that you have some spare time(!!!??) on the Thursday afternoon, is there anywhere that I could take you for a wee tour? Fort George? Tea with Nessie? Well OK, perhaps not! Dolphin watching on the Black Isle? Just a thought.

That's an offer that cannot be refused! I got the PM, so let's decide once I arrive.
Rex, let's assume toasting will occur at 8 PM GMAT, which may be too early in your day. Nevertheless, we know you are with us in 'spirit'!
