Never tried the "anti-Monkey Butt" stuff. I swear by "Boudreaux's Butt Paste" when monky butt strikes. Wonderful stuff.

I head for the baby supplies aisle at the drug store and purchase Zincofax. It's cheap, readily available at grocery stores as well. An application before I start the day works wonders. It is also works after the fact, providing welcome relief and added protection.

Lanacane is also a good one, it is usually in the pharmacy isles of grocery stores it's specifically made for chafing one down side is its in a squeeze tube but it works like a dream! I've used it before and after lots of walking where I knew friction would be a problem

Intererest in monthly Kilt walk or gathering
In an effort to avail any kilt wearers interrested in having a regular opportunity to wear their kilts, I'd be interrested in beginning a monthly kilt walk or gathering somewhere in a central local. I happen to live in the Annapolis,Md. area but this could happen any place. Anyone interrested?

When I first saw this thread I scoffed. I have never chafed, with or without kilts, until yesterday!
Now, after having carefully read every post in this thread, I am on my way down to the local drugstore.
Thank you XMARKERS for coming to my rescue yet again!

Short Bodyglide Anti Chaffing review.
Well after reading this thread and spending years running, biking, hiking etc in all weathers I decided to latch onto a bit of Bodyglide. Ive run everything from fast 5k push till you puke runs to 100 mile trail races. Every weather from blistering heat to freezing cold. In shorts, tights and everything in between. Normally I have used vasaline but times have changed and so does chemistry. Set off today for a mid afternoon run. Some might check my sanity as it was 97 and sunny. I figured with my running kilt I would, and did, stay cool. I had recently bought some ultra light 6 inch length running briefs to wear under said kilt but wanted to get down to basics. Got to the trails and spread the Bodyglide on both inner thighs. At first I thought it wasnt going to work as my thighs were sort of rubbing together but as I got going and the sweat built up things seemed to work well. 40 minutes into my run and I stopped for a second realizing I had not chaffing issues yet. 1 hour 20 minutes to my car again and my thighs were happy. Not a bit of chaffing, and I have chaffed thighs no matter how much I sweat. The real test will be winter running but Ive a few months to wait for that. So one more vote on this issue for bodyglide.
