You can buy sword baldrics on the internet, but for something that simple, I'll make it myself. At it's most simple, it's just a couple of kilt belts buckled together on one end, sewn at the proper length and angle at the other end, with a loop sewn in at the bottom to hold the scabbard.

That's a capital idea -- let's not go there, please.
For baldrics (and broadswords) I highly recommend:
www.boldblades.com
It's a pity Wilkinson Sword went out of business.

Or for those less formal occasions how about this nifty kilt pin?
Shoulda bought it when I had the chance, but I once saw one like an 1858 Enfield, just like mine, which we'll be firing off at midnight tonight to celebrate Hogmanay. Yeah, a "non-functional" one would be sorta like non-adhesive tape, non-alcoholic beer, or vegitarian haggis.

I still want to hear about someone successfully hiding a three and a half foot long sword in their pants or somewhere...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Can you show me both side of the baldrick? I see the back connection at the sword but what is the front? IE I'll make ours if I get a good enough idea of how they work.

NICE!
I'm going to be having him make me a 2-hand claymore w/ clam shell guard for my 17th century Mackay Regt impression (30 Years War).

Any of the "Highlander" movies or tv show, though it was under their coats rather than in their pants
