I've only got solid coloured kilts at the moment, but I plan to order (here in the next few days or weeks) a Douglas Modern Kilt. To my knowledge, my family has no links to Clan Douglas...but I chose it due to the fact it was used by a military unit, the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and the main thing is that I love the tartan.

I haven't been able to find Scottish ancestry as yet. There are some MacGee's, a sept of MacKay, but that's through a Great Aunt by marriage.
The Irish bloodline is strong. All four paternal great-great-grandfathers and their wives were born and raised in Ireland.
I have no kilts yet, but that is soon to change and my wish list follows.

    Irish National-Herritage
    Irish American-Herritage
    Safron-Herritage

    US St. Andrews
American Herritage-Both for love of country

US Army-My father retired and 2 uncles served. I did as well but was relieved of duty and discharged during AIT due to a medical condition(Asthma)
Leatherneck-Great Uncle John Gump landed with the Marines at Iwo Jima
US Air Force-My 2nd brother retired from the Air Force

    Warrior
    Isle of Skye
    Antartica-because I like them

    Macneil through my surname, McNeill
Gordon through my mother's maiden name

I guess it isn't really a tartan, but I do have a Stillwater heavyweight in Black Shadow tartan.

On my list to eventually buy:
Confederate National tartan I live close to the Capital of The Confederacy and can walk out of my driveway and find relics.
US Navy I'm a Navy Veteran
USMC Tartan to honor some buddies who lost their lives in Viet Nam
Highland Granite because I like the tartan

WOW! This thread is STILL going . . .

I haven't been here much in a while. Hockey forums are taking a large chunk of my "forum time."

Interesting posts since I last checked.
