I've only got solid coloured kilts at the moment, but I plan to order (here in the next few days or weeks) a Douglas Modern Kilt. To my knowledge, my family has no links to Clan Douglas...but I chose it due to the fact it was used by a military unit, the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and the main thing is that I love the tartan.

I haven't been able to find Scottish ancestry as yet. There are some MacGee's, a sept of MacKay, but that's through a Great Aunt by marriage.
The Irish bloodline is strong. All four paternal great-great-grandfathers and their wives were born and raised in Ireland.
I have no kilts yet, but that is soon to change and my wish list follows.
Irish National-Herritage
Irish American-Herritage
Safron-Herritage
US St. Andrews
American Herritage-Both for love of country
US Army-My father retired and 2 uncles served. I did as well but was relieved of duty and discharged during AIT due to a medical condition(Asthma)
Leatherneck-Great Uncle John Gump landed with the Marines at Iwo Jima
US Air Force-My 2nd brother retired from the Air Force
Warrior
Isle of Skye
Antartica-because I like them
